Often times it’s volunteer firefighters that can make the differance between a burnt pasture, and a lost home. We take an inside look into the work going on to protect our property by rural firefighters and a program administered by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture that has saved Oklahoma taxpayers millions of dollars during the 20-plus years of its existence. This savings has been reinvested in equipment used by rural fire volunteers.
